Time to bust out those shades as we have two brand new blasts of sonic sunshine from Bristol beatmakers, The Allergies.
‘Move On Baby’ finds the duo on career-best form. With their sampling savvy hitting new heights, as vintage rhythm ’n’ blues vocals ride highly re-energised Latin loops, and some seriously funky drums.
Totally their signature sound – Tough beats, catchy hooks and horns, and feel-good dancefloor vibes – But turned up to 11. It’s got "Sound of the Summer" written all over it, weather permitting.
Also shining bright is B-side banger, ‘Are You Ready’. This stomping soul sensation features LA rap legend, Andy Cooper [Ugly Duckling] and the powerful pipes of Miss Marietta Smith.
The peak-time powder keg is set to detonate on this one. And the call-to-arms manifesto gives you the full Allergies’ band stage show experience in one beefed up jukebox single. So, the perfect calling card for their full live tour, planned later in the year.
Both tracks follow hot on the heels of previous single, ‘Lean On You’ – The explosive swamp blues meets trap rap monster featuring dance music royalty, Dynamite MC. Both tracks will feature on The Allergies highly anticipated forthcoming album, Promised Land, released on Jalapeno Records.
7” vinyl from The Allergies has become seriously collectable with Discogs prices for some of their back catalogue hitting the hundreds of pounds. 'Move On Baby' and 'Are You Ready' look set to keep rocking that trend when released on 7” vinyl alongside the digital versions.
